Social Media Jobs! Why All The Excitment?

The social media jobs industry is literally exploding with opportunity.

The reason for this is simple.  It’s a brand new frontier.  Those who get in now will make the most money.  I am not referring to making money through social media as a business.  I am writing about the need for social media mangers to serve both local and corporate business as they promote themselves online.

Social media began as a way for people to connect.  Then business got on board to connect and gain new customers.

But while social media buffs know most of what there is to know about how social media works, and they keep up with the changing technology – most business owners are far behind in their knowledge.

This has created a huge demand for people to work in social media jobs who know how Facebook and Twitter work.

Businesses simply want to get their ideas, products and services in front of the masses.  Social Media is the New Mass Media Online.

If you know how to post on Facebook and Tweet on Facebook, then you know how to help companies get connected through social media.  And they are willing to pay you big bucks for it.

But don’t just take another social media job.  Work for yourself as a consultant and make a much better living.  I wrote about the pros and cons of social media jobs vs social media consulting. The differences are great and working from home as a consultant is much more beneficial.

Those looking for social media jobs need to resign themselves to the fact that working in a job has it’s limitations.  That is you can find a job.  The fact is, more companies want consultants to work part time.

While you won’t get rich working for one company,consultants have the advantage to serve multiple clients in fewer hours for money money per hour.

Multiple clients means multiple streams of monthly income.
